'Hurt' So Good

The industrial legends, led by Trent Reznor, played two nights at the Astoria, to preview hotly anticipated new album âHalo 19: With Teethâ, released on May 2.
Reznor was joined by a new Nine Inch Nails line-up featuring former Icarus Line guitarist Aaron North and bass player Jeordie White, best known for his time as Twiggy Ramirez in Marilyn Mansonâs band.
The band played new tracks âYou Know What You Are?â, âThe Line Begins To Blurâ and new single âThe Hand That Feedsâ.
But the biggest cheer of the night was reserved for âHurtâ, the closing track from 1994âs âThe Downward Spiralâ, which has since taken on a further legendary status since it was covered by an elderly Johnny Cash and became the late country singerâs epitaph.
The show ended with the classics âStarfuckers Inc.â and âHead Like A Holeâ.
The setlist was:
- âThe Frailâ / âThe Wretchedâ
- âYou Know What You Are?â
- âMarch Of The Pigsâ
- âThe Line Begins To Blurâ
- âPiggyâ
- âTerrible Lieâ
- âBurnâ
- âCloserâ
- âReptileâ
- âThe Big Come Downâ
- âGave Upâ
- âThe Day The World Went Awayâ
- âSuckâ
- âEven Deeperâ
- âWishâ
- âHurtâ
- âThe Hand That Feedsâ
- âStarfuckers Incâ
- âHead Like A Holeâ
